James (Jim) Arthur Byrns, Jr., 55, formerly of Albany, Oregon passed away suddenly on July 16, 2016 in Lebanon, Oregon. Jim was born on January 5, 1961 in Albany and attended school in Millersburg and Albany. He held many jobs during his adult years, but always went back to working drywall. He traveled where the work would take him; Reno, Nevada, Utah, Texas and North Dakota, but he always returned to Oregon. Jim loved spending time in Gold Hill, Oregon where he spent summers with his dad’s family enjoying the Rogue and Applegate Rivers but he always headed north to Albany. He loved the Willamette Valley and considered it home. He never married and has one child Sage Rutledge, of Reno, NV.
Jim was a devoted son to his mother Caroline Ruth Bean and father James Arthur Byrns, Sr. Caroline and James Sr. preceded Jim in death in 2007 and 2008 respectively. He never got over the passing of his parents and missed them every day. Jim was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Mike, his step dad Beanie, his grandparents, an aunt, two uncles and two cousins. His daughter Sage and his sister, Julie Huckestein of Albany survive along with his Aunt Nancy Serjeant (Albany), Uncle Bill and Aunt Peggy Barnett (South Beach), Aunt Betty Davis (Gold Hill), a niece, Rachel (Bend) and several cousins.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
