June M. Carter, 85, of Lebanon, died Thursday at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.

June was born in Yreka, CA to John and Margaret Inlow, with Marvin Cooley raising her when her father passed at an early age. She was preceded in death by her sister, Donna, and her daughter-in-law, Donna. Her brother, Roger is living in Medford.

She attended Medford High where she met her husband, Loren Carter. They married in 1952, until death-did-they–part 66 years later.

She is survived by her children, Debra, Diane, David, and Dana, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

June enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and bingo. She was an avid sports fan, and attended Beaver football games for years. She also volunteered for the Lebanon hospital auxiliary and the American Cancer Society. Hobbies included reading and cooking.

Private family services were held.

Memorial donations may be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House and sent in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon, OR 97355.
