Obituary

Cheryl Ann Thomas (Coddington)
March 22, 1958 - June 18, 2020

Cheryl Ann Coddington, 62, of Albany, Oregon passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18th after battling ovarian cancer. She passed surrounded by family in the comfort of her home.

Cheryl was born in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Hazel Thomas (Ruckman).

Cheryl graduated from high school in Rainier, Oregon in 1976. She attended the Linn-Benton Community College School of Nursing and graduated in 1990, then continued on as a Registered Nurse at Lebanon Community Hospital where she worked for nearly 25 years.

Cheryl married James D. Thomas in 1978 and brought three children into the world. They divorced in 1992, then married David Coddington in 1997. Their love was unbreakable and unconditional. They went on vacations to Mexico and Hawaii and did fun things like skydiving and whitewater rafting. She is survived by her three children; daughters Amanda McGahen and Brittany Britton, and son, James A. U. Thomas. She was a grandmother of six; Evan, Kalise, Kylie and Aubrey McGahen, Wesson Britton, and Jaiden Rincker.

Cheryl built many great relationships throughout her life. She enjoyed travelling and going to the beach, as well as spending as much time as she could with her “grandbabies”. She always knew how to make people smile in the hardest of times. She made every road trip fun and interesting by playing movie trivia, I Spy and the license plate game. She made life a thrill. She brought love and warmth to those who knew her.
